Some say that one should not mix being friends with someone and business. While it may be that one should be friendly and not a grouch the fact is if something goes sour with the business arrangement the friendship will soon also suffer and perhaps end. With that I need to say this and there is no more wiggle room. In a process to direct some attention and some ad dollars towards my friend Brian at KPIF TV , I put out a thing on Mandy.com about an open call session in Pocatello, at the Green T here for two independent productions being done by Southern Steele Media, the production half of HazzComm. I had put in my open casting thing that KPIF would host the open call. Sponsored and paid for by the Hazzard Knytes, The BlackSheep Vintage Aviation Association and by AyreWolf Aviation. However due to a lack of communication Brian heard about it and was quite put off. In fact there is a new guy working in sales there by the name of Kevin, whom since he joined KPIF's team, Brian has been rather distant, and not as close a friend as he was , when I through the Hazzard Knytes and the BlackSheep were eyeing buying KPIF, as an outlet for our super trucker rural network. Which from now on will not absolutely not will we at Southern Steele Media have anything much to do if anything at all with KPIF CH-15 the CW of Chubbuck/Pocatello. In fact to be honest I am more than ever strongly leaning towards the idea of saying I have had enuff and blow this poop stand of Eastern Idaho and do what I should have done and as I was working towards before I became involved with Brian or KPIF. I let Brian into my inner circle and have once again for the third time got kicked in the teeth. In baseball they say three strikes your out, well this last one was the third strike. I will be friendly with Brian himself if he still wants to be but there will not be much outside of ads for my business on or dealing with KPIF. Nuff sedd on that. My Dad used to say Son don't put all your eggs in one basket. Cuzz the basket might get sat on and thus no eggs at all. That sedd two areas media wise are still in the furnace. First, our station will begin the process of filing applications with the FCC to build and operate our own independent TV station, Second we will establish the HQ of that station in or very near to BlackFoot, unless one more thing happens in Eastern Idaho to spoil my attitude towards Eastern Idaho. I'll make that decision in May. That sedd, the Hazzard County Kuntry TV Network will be built, whether that HQ is in Eastern Idaho or western Idaho depends on a bunch of things none the least being able to find the on air talent and management talent that I need to make it happen. But to repeat we in the Hazzard County Knytes, or the BlackSheep have dissolved our relationship with Brian and KPIF. My main mission over the next two months will be to find housing in or near Hazzard Idaho then say adios to this area. Now to further this out a bit more. Over in Burley/Heyburn where I lived before meeting Brian, I had this gal named Nancy. Who told me to not fully trust Brian that the deal would go sour and that I should stay in the mini Cassia area. But I ignored her. Thinking Brian and I over 8 months or so could put something together that was more solid than the crap I was involved with in Evanston Wyoming to where come June or so as soon as the courts finalized the recovery of the money for Southern Eagle Xpress and all that together with the Hazzard Knytes, the BlackSheep could buy KPIF. Now understanding that my experience in media is with radio, not TV. I cruise the atmosphere via radio audio waves. But hey I thought all TV is, is radio with pictures, can't be that much of a jump. What I found was what I knew about TV fit in a thimble and I needed to learn more. Now to be honest Brian did not say move to Eastern Idaho or Pocatello, but a problem once again with Communication I thought he would rent me some desk space at KPIF so I could learn TV. Now I had downloaded a computer hyper link to Sex With Sue . com so I could show Brian something about that program in the concept of putting that show on HIS tv station. But because I was told to stay away from a certain studio computer I could not delete the link. Because of that and I guess my rebel hillbilly look Brian decided that my presence was not needed, but by that time I had already engaged the move from a two bedroom house and could not reverse the thing. (Strike-One) Over time Brian and I from I don't know how many cups of coffee, beer and all I thought a real friendship and partnership was coming together. With that I suggested that we ought to do a talent search for the CW show America's Next Top Model. Which happened over time with near tragic results, but I was not even asked to be a judge, (strike two) Then came albeit I should have consulted with Brian, before hand but it was not that I did not try, requested meetings via cell phone calls and texts was not honored so I put up the casting call which would have raised more awareness of KPIF and made Brian some real money. Guess what? When Brian read the ad on Mandy.com he got put out so strike three. While I'd still be willing to put ads etc on his station, from here on out Brian will have to earn my trust again. From here on out I put my ads where I know they will generate money. But as in all things if it does not kill you it only makes you stronger. Last here if I am going to pledge to get money from my Trust fund along with the Hazzard Knytes and the BlackSheep, and all involved for $5million big ones we can and will build our own station ran our hillbilly way for rural America, and Rural Idaho.
