A media feud might be brewing in Eastern Idaho. Welcome to the soap opera the Edge of Wetness

A NEW SHEEP'S PEN HEADER

Welcome to The Sheep's Pen for a Thursday. After man months of grunts and such I am starting to recover some but not all but some of my energy. I slept most of the day today(Thursday) the increasing stress over finding purtty tush's for not only my but also the ads of the Hazzard Knytes and the VMA214 has really taken its toll on not only my soul. My cousin Bud our main bean distributor of funds told me back in September when I was looking for a better field to till. I thought the partnering with Brian, and KPIF was not only smart but something that could change a bunch of things. Sure I knew that the area was somewhat empty for both on air as well as management, engineering and other things that have to do with media operations but I took the chance. Sure I knew that putting myself in the same town as my XYL and son was risky but I also thought and that's what thought bought me but to get out of a little economic rut that coming here to Pocatello was a good plan. While there no doubt will be some bitter beer to swallow by both Brian and I , I just hope after some time we can remain friends. I hope that Courtney, Sheena, Hiedi and all can still work together, and much of what I envisioned is still very much possible. With that said, Brian said to me in a very cross email that to give something legit in the casting call ad I put on Mandy.com was needed . Guess what old buddy Brian I have been working with Mandy.com for many years, long before I ever knew you or KPIF.  On May 1st 2008 I give notice to my current landlord that I am going to relocate. Whether that relocation goes north to BlackFoot or that direction or west back to the Magic Valley is purtty much dependent on the ability to locate suitable people both  on air as well as office infrastructure. We already have our engineer. We have some of our on air talent, and long before we open the door to Television we will be going radio. Something I know a bit more about. After all on Radio one does not have to be great looking just have a great voice, and the ability to excite others to tune in and hear. Plus the investment in both studio/office as well as equipment is much less. We have a old AyreCat in Sacramento California setting up our web site at www.ayrewolffm.com that will be something like www.howlinoldies.com as well as www.wolffm.com . In fact the designer of both those web sites is our engineering consultant. However to rebuild our music library and all will take time. And the radio station is the first step. However I know the media wars are about to start here. It always does. While many both in Radio as well as Television always counts on revenue from local advertisers and yes we do too, but we are not about to allow that to hide under the covers when it comes to creative abilities. I and the station reports the news many refuse to report, why? Simple don't want to piss of the advertisers. Our support comes from the Armed Forces Radio and Television Services, large trucking and agribusiness companies and publications . In essence if Jope Floap at XYM Drug store has a problem with an ad we run who cares. Our dollars are still there. Where? That's a subject for next time. However I can nearly Guarantee that there will be media wars here when we turn on the switch.
