Welcome to my Hazzard County. It's been said that its better to forgive than harbor a grudge. To that I forgive Brian of KPIF TV and all for the crap that has went under the bridge from the time I contacted him in regard to both advertising on HIS station and doing up a long haul truckers news program. While I was stupid to think that the waters would part and much of good things would occur by me moving to Pocatello, Brian as well should have just told me how much it would cost to put the Truckers news program on his station and the ad rates for giving some sort of spotlight to Dixie Towing. Mistakes were made on both parts and while I must have had mud in my brain thinking the gig was going to REALLY happen, I have chosen to forgive Brian, but at the same time I'm not in a really big hurry to just jump back into that rodeo either. For a station manager that could use some help both from ad dollars coming into his station, to the reputation extending I did by telling many of my friends about Brian's TV station and yet because of a slight oversight and the influence of a new sales guy Brian has been less of a factor in my and the Hazzard Knytes' ad planning. But then if we are planning to punch up our own station who needs outsiders? The same holds true for anything the Hazzard Knytes does. Any time the thought turns to having to hire or farm out anything there is real fear. Few can muster up the same warm feelings that make up members of the Hazzard Knytes. When at the tail end of the America's Next Top Model auditions that were held at the Green T a few weeks ago now I met someone that shook me to the bone as far as someone I am considering putting into a management spot in our organization and operation in Eastern Idaho. Yet while that needs to be proven out the fact is, it's a person that has little if any knowledge about things Dukes, or Hazzard. She did not even know who Waylon Jennings was. However like it was a line from one of the Smokey and the Bandit movies, where it was said, Your only as dumb as to what part of the USA your standing in. Can Heidi or Courtney, or Steph fill the job and do the duty to the degree it requires? Will they work the 18 hour days, put in overnight time, and all to be a success for not only me but all members of the Hazzard Knytes? Only time will tell, but long before anyone gets a paycheck they have to prove themselves not only to me, but the Hazzard Knytes as well. Like I said at the beginning I forgive but I seldom forget.
