It was one of those days when what should be wasn't I woke up I suppose on the wrong side of the bed. I went to city hall parked in my usual spot at City Hall in the video parking lot went in and maundered around. It came 13:20 hours so I went to the Mayors office. After looking over the agenda of the next city council meeting I met Mayor Chase. We discussed most of the items on my mind concerning CH-12 and while not everthing is everything progress was made. Mayor Chase wants our proposal in writing and a vote in one of the upcoming City Council meetings will determine the results. Most of which I think will go our way since I and the 214 crew are going in with the pitch that we move the operation out of City Hall, into its own location, we pay for everything operational and programming wise and make it to where the city of Pocatello does not have to stomach it any more. The same half a million green stamps they pay to operate the station, and all that goes to a limited viewership, is way too high. We in the 214 with funds from the Montgomery Foundation, The Call(Flying J Travel Plazas ) Foundation and the Hazzard County Knytes Foundation combined we not only can run the station and outside of two maybe three paychecks the operation of the station can be done for ten percent of what its taking in now or having to pay to operate. Expanding the reach to an area regional station, where everybody even those with out cable and including surrounding even to Idaho Falls Idaho that by the highway has to community cable access channel, means bringing in the $5,000.00 to put our stick on Brian's tower and have something that can benefit many rather than just a few. I also talked with a cat that runs the local library who has been looking at cranking up a radio version of a public access station. While no real decisions were made today at least we started the dialog that can make this happen. Sadly however one of our best talents feels the time involved and lack of immediate pay check has made her resign as Miss AyreWolf so we begin the search again. But she does have integrity at least she wrote me back and said so. The other three I have not heard from and I think if I held my breath waiting , I'd turn blue. However they along with many are going to be weeping with the nashing of teeth when they see what unfolds and then thinks goodness that could have been me. However Sheena has a place in our operation whenever she wants it. Any others well that is big ?mark.
