After many years and of some personal internal research I have concluded that I must be a WolfMan, not the legendary WolfMan Jack(Bob Smith) but the fact that I love to be up at nyte, I love the silence and am more of a loner than many would want to be must have made me a high octane kaynyne in another life. And an Alpha Wolf at that. Although in the Kaynyne Kingdom the Wolf is not a solitary creature but more social than many would admit to but be that as it may since I love the nyte and my life is always going to be prowled solo myte as well concede that I am just a Lone Wolf and being as I like to fly more as I have been years gone by and the call sign gave me in the USCMC as the AyreWolf. Nuff sedd. As this week begins the event of Saint Patrick's Day occurs and although my Father told me that that man is a long shirt tail great long ago Uncle and why I have the same first name, just something I heard as a Wolf pup so wuzz up with that? The week this week begins with a meeting with the Mayor of Pocatello Idaho. In the attempt of finding answers to the problems with the community cable access channel(CH-12) here. The fact that only those who get cable can watch it is really bad. Thinking of two groups of the citizens of Bannock County and Pocatello who either don't have cable either by expense restrictions, or they only have standard broadcast over the air TV or subscribe to satellite TV are left out of the total viewership of ch-12. My punch is going in and saying that leaves only a very select few that can watch CH-12. Those that have cable. But changes cannot be made because of the present in house director of the facility. There needs to be a change. Added to that the duty done there by that director should be done for free as a volunteer. Do not claim, ask for or request a pay check. Do it because you love it and want to see the thing succeed. Third take that pay check and put it into new equipment and up grades, that the facility needs to remain viable after the change of signal in 2009 from analog to digital. Fourth, make the pitch that in one year that two things happen. One explain that in one year to make the channel self supporting so as no longer to drain on City tax payers and/or the cities budget. And two, pledge in two years to have funds in place by the Hazzard County Knytes/BlackSheep Squadron to completely buy and run the facility and if needed move it completely out of City Hall into a facility of its own. If I do this explaining that improvements such as wireless internet access inside the studios would increase the ability to attract more people to put on programming. As well as other upgrades that would make it to where others would want to put on shows. If the facility was not hindered by a mindset that was tied to old ways of doing things, not opening the thing up to more ways of viewership such as expanding the facility to be not only on cable but to be on the ayrewaves as a LPTV station. Offering 24 hour LIVE access as well as in a year taking the TV station(Monkey) off the city's back financially and by us as a group going in to run it completely salary free, might get the Mayor to begin to get all warm over our idea. But this is only one step and right now its a baby step. So why am I doing this in and for an area that I nearly dearly dislike? Simple I have a bunch of kin folk in these here parts, and friends here. As it would be I also know that as much as I'd luv to jump in the truck and just leave the fact is I just can't afford to do that for at least 11 or so months. So why not just dig in clean up some messes, sell the property in Springfield, live where I do, put that money into what I have in Rupert, build the joint either in BlackFoot or American Falls for KAWT and during that time build up something that wont just be good for me or the BlackSheep or both which it will but for the entire community of Bannock County, Power County and Bingham County. That being KEIB or Eastern Idaho Broadcasting. And so it goes. If needed make KEIB a sister to KAWT our own commercial TV and radio station. Each Saturday here at the Wolf's Den as its called on South 5th Ave in Pocatello, The BlackSheep and Hazzard Knytes regional officers council meets between 10:00 hours and 13:00 hours, to plan out our week and our further work into current projects. Once again I invited the 3 new female trainees to join us. And again they did not show up. Perhaps its the fear of joining up with mostly males in a medium sized apartment, maybe its they are not taking the operation as dedicated as those that have been in this for 20 odd years, or perhaps it was just the crappy weather, as it snowed to beat a Japs ass here, perhaps its all the above. While I understand that few are going to be as dedicated as Robin Whittaker(Miss Dixie-Diesel 1993) was or like we in both the Hazzard Knytes or the BlackSheep do. And surely not as much as I do. But it has been said a company or business is only as good as those who work for it. While I'd hold in front of anyone the dedication to both purpose and task the dedication the BlackSheep as well as the Hazzard Knytes have for our media werx it would be nice to find folks of both genders who would take what we are doing as strong as we do. But then perhaps the Lord above brought the BlackSheep the parent organization of The Hazzard Knytes and all its siblings to Eastern Idaho to save the area as we did in many battle theaters in as many wars and conflicts. Nuff sedd I'm off to bed after all it is Sunday.
