I took the day off from normal duty Thursday to do some serious thinking and contemplating as well as deep reflecting on my spot in life. As I look to Sunday after next when I turn 49 one year shy of nearly half a century on planet Mother Earth it makes one start looking at the person staring back in the mirror and saying is this all that I am? Is there nothing more? And can I be better? If only a simple although its not that simple but if a slight change in environment will change things why not? So looking at every place I have lived the only one that I moved from without it being on a rail is Glenn's Ferry Idaho. The only reason I moved from there was ants in a house and an army of mice. Pretty bad reasons to relocate. I had a sheer promise of a job herding cattle in the sale ring at Jerome Idaho and while that all looked good that turned out to be the wrong neighborhood. As I look at Pocatello while I may be breaking before I see the crop of the seeds I have planted here, even if and its a big if , but even if the TV thing was to bare fruit the entire crop might be for not. After all I am only one man, as much as I stretch myself I can only be one place doing one thing at a time and this is all wasting way too much of that precious resource , time. While I don't see an immediate move I did learn of low cost public assisted housing near Glenn's Ferry, Glenn's Ferry has a suitable airport so a place to build up AyreWolf Aviation is there. Only two tow trucks for 60 , miles each direction on a very busy interstate means green, and being 60 miles from Boise and only 35 miles from Hazzard itself could be the best solution to a host of problems. So on May 1st I begin looking. Was going to go up to ISU to enquire about taking on interns for CH-12 and AyreWolf FM, but after I thought about it I changed my mind. After all why pan for gold in a pond that only has mud in it. What I am going to pitch on Friday's show is simply as I'll say it is, If Pocatello will not help me any more than it is and wants me gone so bad, pony up $5,000.00 and I'll move away never to darken the pity city again. See if that gains any traction to my action. A great philosopher once said the muffin that sits on one plate too long gets stale and soon is no longer good. I'm taking that to heart.
