Without giving out any thing as far as a real identity here, Brian is the newly recruited member of the civilian advisors of the VMA214. Brian manages a local TV station that we as both the BlackSheep and Hazzard County Knytes are looking at buying. Now some, even Brian thinks its just me buying the TV station, not so. Even if the Montgomery Trust funds are completely recovered without selling off a bunch of land or holdings the entire Trust is still only gong to be worth about $600,000.00 Okay then however if I take some of that $600,000.00 the VMA214 through a D-O-D loan puts up $400,000.00 and between the Hazzard Knytes, The Road Eaglez Association and a few of my other associates coughs up an equal amount then the $5,mill buy in of KPIF TV as us owning it becomes real. However even if we are not complete owners we are still moving to the beat of cranking up our own TV/Radio place near Pocatello but not in it. The reason I say that is that if the reception myself and the 214 has gotten since we arrived on these shores and without any more infrastructure rebuilding it would take a real miracle something to convince me to remain in Pocatello after May 1st. That said, areas like Blackfoot, Burley/Rupert and so on are albeit slowly but are at least working at rebuilding their respective areas to be more business welcome not new business shunned as we have been. Added to that if I have to hunt down talent to be in a TV ad imagine what others must have to do? Think of it this way, if I told my farm customers that I'd be happy to spray their fields if they go out, get the chemicals, get the aircraft and file the flight plan, how many would say adios? Plenty. Same thing with running a TV station. A business should be able to walk into a station tell them what you want done and the blooming TV station should then put it together, present the idea, the business ponies up the money and the ad is on TV. Same thing with us buying a TV station here. Sure we could buy the station but how bad is it when you need to go to a bikini bar just to find female model talent , for ads let alone to assemble a news team or other on air talent. This is why all of us at the 214 are really gun shy about buying anything big time media in Pocatello right now, but then too we might just be the ones making the gig fly after all. But to close, if you wondered who this Brian is, he is an Civilian Associate member of the VMA214 BlackSheep. Nuff Sedd.
